How to Make a Layered Iced Hojicha Latte

Recently it’s been raining a lot in Japan and I didn’t feel like going out. Instead I enjoyed my time making and drinking this delicious iced Hojicha (roasted green tea) latte which has 2 layers!!

:: Today’s recipe ::
Hojicha powder about 2g (1 teaspoon)
Boiled Water 30ml
Milk 150ml
Liquid sweetener
Ice

1. Put Hojicha powder into a bowl like a Matcha bowl or a lipped bowl and pour boiled water on top. Whisk them together with a bamboo tea whisk. (If you don’t have a tea whisk you can use a small metal whisk instead.)
2. Fill a glass with ice and pour milk over. Add some liquid sweetener and mix it all together.
3. Pour whisked tea slowly onto the ice in the glass and you’re done!

Mixing liquid sweetener and milk together makes it easier to see the different layers. You can also make layers without using liquid sweetener, just by pouring tea very slowly onto the ice.

It’s beautiful on the eyes and it feels as though you’re sitting inside a fashionable cafe.✨ You can use this technique for Matcha and coffee as well. Why don’t you give it a try yourself. 😉
